The town of Cape Elizabeth provides a broad spectrum of municipal services intended to meet the educational, informational and recreational needs of its residents. To insure that these services are delivered in the most efficient and cost-effective manner, the Town has adopted a "One-town"‚ philosophy which seeks to bridge the traditional division between School and Municipal staffs and budgets wherever feasible to achieve economies of scale. In keeping with this philosophy, the Town has established a joint Technology Planning Committee and created a shared Technology Support Team to manage all its informational resources.
It is the vision of the joint Planning Committee for Technology to support and enhance the efforts of School, Library and Town Hall staff to augment customer service to all citizens, regardless of age, by providing user-friendly and safe access to the wealth of information through a range of current and evolving technologies.
